Using Art of the P.A.U.S.E to Manage Mental Health & Chronic Illness

Years ago, Coach Mandy developed this coaching tool called "Art of the P.A.U.S.E" to manage stress and burnout. It was based on how she managed her own stress and the daily requirements of living with with Cystic Fibrosis. And, it quickly became my favorite way to handle stress and overwhelm when we were in the early stages of building our business.

I had three kiddos ages 2, 5, and 8 when we launched our company back in 2014. And, I was on my own half the year because their Dad worked for weeks at a time on an oil rig. I was in the trenches of motherhood, and I was desperate for a way to handle the stress, frustration, and overwhelm that I felt. Art of the P.A.U.S.E became a life-line and helped me build the business of my dreams without sacrificing my health, my family, or hobbies I loved... when I made time for them in-between diaper changes and school runs! 

Over the years it's evolved into being one of my favorite wellness tools to manage my mental health and chronic illness. The techniques in Art of the P.A.U.S.E help me focus on what my body is trying to tell me and name my emotions. It's taught me how to schedule rest so I can better manage my physical and emotional health- including Fibromyalgia and Complex Trauma. And, it reminds me to look for the little things that bring joy and delight that I can miss so easily. It really has changed my life.
